Two New Stations Open on the Riyadh Metro’s Orange Line
Getting around the capital just got even easier.
Riyadh’s ever-expanding metro network just got a little bigger! Two new stations have officially opened as part of the Orange Line, continuing the rollout of one of the region’s most ambitious transport projects.
The newly launched stations are:
The Railway Station
Jarir District Station
These additions are part of Riyadh Metro’s ongoing mission to ease congestion in high-traffic areas and improve mobility throughout the city. With over 1 million expected annual riders, the metro continues to transform how people navigate the capital.
About the Riyadh Metro
The full metro system consists of six main lines covering 84 stations over a total distance of 176 kilometers. The network links major residential areas, government hubs, commercial zones, and educational institutions.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the six lines:
Blue Line: Olaya to Batha’a (38 km)
Red Line: King Abdullah Road (25.3 km)
Orange Line: Al Madina Al Monawara to Prince Saad bin Abdul Rahman Al Awal Road (40.7 km)
Yellow Line: King Khaled International Airport Road (29.6 km)
Green Line: King Abdul Aziz Road (12.9 km)
Violet Line: Abdul Rahman bin Aouf Road to Sheikh Hassan bin Hussain bin Ali Road (30 km)
How to Ride
Getting on board is easy. You can:
